Image & Words - Decomposing
Decomposing
It looks dark, smells dank
Not of interest or merit
The fallen leaves, cones, debris disintegrating into the earth
Building up a layer of the discarded and decomposing
But this is the source of riches
Of regeneration
The foundations of life
And a home itself to that we cannot see with the naked eye
It slowly, imperceptibly builds to make new soil
That the shoots of spring are embedded in
Without decomposition there are no trees
No woodland to walk in.
